Across Continents, Shining in South America — KAMY CHINA Makes Its Mark at PERUMIN 37 Mining Convention
From September 22 to 26, 2025, the 37th PERUMIN Mining Convention / EXTEMIN was held at the Cerro Juli Convention Center in Arequipa, Peru. Regarded as one of the largest and most influential mining events in Latin America, PERUMIN is held biennially; this edition attracted more than 60,000 participants and delegations from 16 countries. Under the theme “Together for More Opportunities and Well-being for All,” the convention brought together mining professionals from around the world to exchange insights on technological innovation, sustainability, and the future of critical minerals, and to promote high-quality development and regional cooperation across South America’s mining sector.
In the vibrant highland city of Arequipa, Shanghai Kamy Electromechanical Co.,Ltd. (KAMY CHINA) made its debut in the South American market, presenting a range of equipment including roadheaders, roadway repair machines, and intelligent mining systems. Representing the strength of “Made in China,” KAMY CHINA’s booth attracted considerable attention, with visitors from Peru and neighboring countries engaging in detailed discussions about the company’s advanced technology and commitment to green mining.
During the exhibition, Ms. Ana María, Vice Governor of the Arequipa Region, and Mr. Taco, Regional Minister of Energy and Mines, visited the KAMY CHINA booth for in-depth discussions. Minister Taco praised the technological sophistication and environmental performance of KAMY CHINA’s roadheader equipment, noting that it could “inject green momentum into Peru’s mining industry.” He emphasized that KAMY CHINA’s technology and philosophy align closely with the region’s goals for efficient and sustainable mining development.
Over the four-and-a-half-day event, the KAMY CHINA team welcomed numerous visitors from Peru, Chile, Bolivia, and other Latin American countries. Many expressed strong interest in potential collaboration, and several initiated follow-up technical exchanges. Each interaction reinforced the global recognition of Chinese innovation and the value of KAMY CHINA’s engineering solutions.
